Restorative Dentistry

Here at Advanced Dental P.C., we are proud to offer dental restorations so you can be proud of your smile.

Dental Restorations

Restorations allow us to fill in broken teeth to make them look like normal teeth. We offer bonding, veneers and caps to cover up your broken teeth.

We can also fix missing teeth, and there are many options. Typically, we like to place implants, which will act like your tooth’s replacement root. Overtop of the implants, we use crowns, which are artificial teeth, restoring your mouth with normal-sized and shaped teeth.

We also offer bridges, which are used to bridge the gap between your teeth, making sure your mouth keeps its normal shape. Another option, depending on what you want, is dentures. Dentures come in either full or partial, depending on how many teeth you are missing.

Cosmetic Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is used to change the shape and size of your teeth, giving you a uniform smile that looks natural.

Dental bonding can also be used on cavities and is also commonly used for receding gums. It protects the teeth that are exposed since they are not meant to be out.

Dental bonding is a procedure in which we apply a plastic material over the top of your tooth. We then use a special light to harden the plastic so that it bonds to your tooth. The material we use can be matched to your natural tooth color so that it looks natural!

Tooth-Colored Fillings
Teeth are usually filled with a material called composite resin, which is designed to look like your natural teeth. Composite resin takes a little longer than gold, porcelain, or silver amalgam, though most people still prefer it for natural-looking teeth. It takes more than one layer, and a special light is used to harden the area around the filling.

Once your tooth is all filled in, we will smooth over the rough edges and polish it so it looks natural.

Dental Crowns
A crown covers up a bad tooth so you have a natural-looking tooth that fits right into your mouth. Crowns are also used to keep a filling in place when there is not much tooth left. They can also strengthen your regular teeth by giving them extra protection.

If you have discolored teeth or teeth that are misshapen, a crown will help you have a smile of which you can be proud.

Dental Bridges
Bridges help fill in the gaps between teeth. Bridges with artificial teeth can get your mouth back to its correct shape and functioning as it should. Bridges can be removable, making them easy to clean or repair. Some bridges are cemented into place.

Bridges are also used to keep your remaining teeth in place. They help you eat and speak much better, not to mention they give you a beautiful smile of which you can be proud!

Dentures
We offer complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are for when all of your teeth are missing, and partials are for when you still have a few teeth.

Dentures are used to help solve problems that happen when patients start to lose teeth, whether we remove them or they fall out. After removing one or more teeth, a person’s mouth will start to shift, making changes to your mouth and your face!

Gum Recontouring
Some people have a “gummy mouth.” This simply means that your gums have grown over your teeth, making your teeth appear smaller than they should! Our skilled dentist will reshape the excess gum and bone tissue, which makes your teeth more visible.

Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are used to cover stains, chips, decays, or irregularities on your teeth. They are a thin coat that a dental technician applies right over your teeth. Veneers are a more affordable option to give you a beautiful smile.

After doing a thorough examination with x-rays, we will take time to discuss your options. We want to talk about any procedures that may help you and the aftercare that may be needed. We want you to make an informed decision about which you feel confident. It is our goal to give you a smile you can be proud of anyway that we can.
